What Is Bottom-of-Funnel Marketing? Tactics, Content and Metrics
Bottom-of-funnel (BOFU) marketing is marketing aimed at people who already know your product and are close to buying, using offers, proof and objection-handling to get them to complete the purchase or sign-up.
In a marketing funnel (see what-is-a-marketing-funnel), the top builds awareness, the middle builds consideration and the bottom drives the decision. BOFU audiences include cart abandoners, trial users, pricing-page visitors, people who watched a demo and warm leads from earlier campaigns.
Typical BOFU assets are case studies, comparison pages, pricing explainers, free trials, demos, limited-time offers, testimonials and guarantees. In ads, BOFU usually means retargeting (see what-is-retargeting) and dynamic product ads, with copy that answers the last doubts: price, risk, fit and what happens after signing up.
BOFU activity often looks very efficient in reports, because those people were already close to buying. That is partly why it is dangerous to judge by last-click numbers alone (see what-is-attribution-modeling): BOFU captures demand that top-of-funnel work created. If you cut awareness spend to concentrate on BOFU, the pool of warm people eventually shrinks. The audience is also small, so it tires quickly (see what-is-audience-fatigue).
Why it matters
Infinall AI turns a product URL into competitor research, strategy, ad copy and creative that land in an Approval Queue for you to review before export. For BOFU work, that means drafting objection-handling copy, offer-led ad angles and creative aimed at people already considering your product, informed by what competitors say in the Library's Ad Spy. It does not build your retargeting audiences, buy media, or measure funnel stage conversion. You review and approve each draft, and you run it in your ad platform.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between BOFU, MOFU and TOFU?
TOFU (top of funnel) aims for awareness among people who may not know you. MOFU (middle) helps people who know you compare and consider. BOFU (bottom) converts people who are nearly ready to buy. The labels describe the buyer's stage, so the same channel, such as email, can serve any of the three.
Is bottom-of-funnel marketing enough on its own?
Rarely. BOFU only converts people who are already aware of you, and that pool is refilled by earlier-stage marketing. A business that spends only at the bottom may see good short-term efficiency, then notice the supply of warm prospects shrinking.
