What an AI ad generator can do for an app, and the line it doesn't cross
Infinall AI can take your app's landing page or store listing URL and turn it into a reviewed set of marketing assets: competitor research, positioning, ad copy, image ads, carousels, and video ad drafts, all landing in an Approval Queue before export. It does not buy media, it does not run your install campaigns, and it does not replace the measurement and optimization work that mobile advertising depends on.
That distinction matters more for apps than for most products, because mobile user acquisition is a measurement-heavy discipline. The ad creative is one input. The others are your store listing (which converts the click into an install), your onboarding (which converts an install into an activated user), your attribution setup (which tells you whether any of it worked), and your bid and budget management on the ad networks. An AI ad generator addresses the first of these. It can make the creative side faster and more consistent. It cannot tell you your retention curve is the real problem.
A useful way to hold it: AI shortens the distance from "we have an app and a one-line pitch" to "we have a dozen reviewed creative concepts worth testing." Everything after that, from setting up campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, Google App campaigns, Apple Search Ads, or TikTok, to reading cohort data, is still your job or a specialist's.
This guide covers what a mobile app creative set should contain, how to brief an AI tool well, how to adapt creative for video-first placements, the review items specific to apps, and how to decide what to test.
What a good set of mobile app ad creative contains
App ads work differently from product-page ads for physical goods. The viewer is usually scrolling in a feed, a story, or a short-video surface, and the ask is an install, which feels low-cost but is in fact a commitment of storage, attention, and sometimes permissions. Strong creative sets tend to cover five angles, and an AI generator is most useful when you ask for each deliberately.
The core job. One image or short video that shows the single thing the app does best, in a context the viewer recognises. "Split a bill in three taps" is a better premise than "the best finance app."
The before and after of the experience. Not a fabricated user result, but a clear contrast of the workflow: how the task is done today versus in your app. Keep it descriptive. Do not invent outcomes you cannot back up.
A feature carousel. Carousels suit apps well because each card can show one screen or one benefit. Infinall's Full Campaign includes carousels: up to 1 on the Free plan in Lite mode, and up to 3 on Pro in Standard mode with real-data research.
A social-proof placeholder. Ratings and review counts are powerful, but they must be real and current. If you cite an App Store rating, pull the actual number on the day you publish. Do not let a tool invent one.
A short video draft. Video generation is available on Pro, up to 4K, and Motion graphics let you animate UI-style sequences. Treat the output as a draft to refine, not a finished spot.
Aim for variation between angles, not within them. Ten versions of the same screenshot with different background colours teach you nothing; four distinct angles teach you which message lands.
How to brief an AI generator from your app page
The quality of generated creative depends heavily on the brief and the source material. Here is a practical way to prepare.
Give it a page that says something. Infinall starts from a product URL. For an app, that can be your marketing site or a landing page that states the core job, the audience, and the differentiators clearly. If your only public page is a bare store listing, write a better one first, or at minimum expect the generated positioning to be generic.
Name your one primary audience. "Freelancers who invoice clients" produces sharper ads than "everyone who works." If you serve several segments, run separate campaigns instead of one blended one.
Decide the install motivation. People install apps for a handful of reasons: save time, save money, entertain themselves, stay connected, build a habit, or manage something stressful. Pick the one that most honestly fits and make sure the rest of the creative supports it.
Use real competitive context. Infinall's Library includes Ad Spy, where you can browse real competitor ads, and Research (Standard on Free, up to Deep or Max on Pro) looks at how similar products are positioned. For apps, this is especially helpful in crowded categories where many competitors use the same three claims. Finding the angle nobody is using is often worth more than polishing the angle everybody is.
Supply your actual UI. Generated imagery can depict "a phone with an app on it," but it will not know your real screens. Use your real screenshots and edit them into frames, so what the ad shows is what the install delivers. Mismatch between the ad and the first-open experience drives uninstalls and, in some cases, policy complaints.
Formats, placements, and where mobile creative needs adapting
A single creative idea has to travel across placements with different shapes and different viewer expectations. Plan for that from the start rather than resizing at the end.
Vertical video surfaces (short-video feeds, stories, reels) reward motion in the first second, on-screen text that makes sense without sound, and a clear single message. If you use Infinall's video generation or Motion graphics on Pro, plan the opening frame deliberately. The AI Editor and image tools can resize and reframe so the key content is not hidden by platform interface elements.
Feed images and carousels have more room for a headline and a clearer layout. These work well for feature-by-feature explanations.
Search-based placements such as Apple Search Ads draw most of their creative from your App Store listing rather than from custom ads, which means your store screenshots, icon, and description are the creative. Generated image tools can help produce screenshot frames and promotional graphics, but you will upload them through Apple's own tools.
Audio. If you use voiceover, Infinall Pro includes voice cloning, music, sound effects, dubbing, and translation, and the Free plan includes 54 voices in 29 languages. Using translation and dubbing to localise for another market is a real time saver, but have a native speaker check wording, especially for anything involving payments, health, or legal terms.
Each ad platform publishes its own size, length, and safe-zone specs, and they change. Check current specifications on each platform before you export. Infinall helps you produce and edit assets; it does not know the live specs of every network on the day you publish.
Review items specific to app ads, and how to decide what to test
App advertising has its own failure modes. Before approving anything from the queue, work through this list.
Does the ad show what the app actually does? Misleading screens or features that do not exist are among the fastest routes to rejected ads and angry reviews.
Are permissions and data claims accurate? If the ad says "private" or "no ads" or "works offline," verify it. Privacy claims are scrutinised by both platforms and users.
Do store and platform rules apply to your category? Apps in finance, health, dating, gaming with real-money mechanics, and anything aimed at minors face stricter ad rules and may require disclosures or prior approval. Infinall does not verify compliance, so check each platform's current policy and involve a specialist where the category warrants it.
Are ratings, download counts, and awards current and real? Only use numbers you can show.
Does the ad's promise match onboarding? If the ad promises a one-tap feature but the first screen is a six-step signup, expect a drop-off that no creative can fix.
For testing, change one variable at a time: the angle, the first three seconds, the call to action, or the format. Give each test enough impressions to be meaningful, which depends on your spend and conversion rates, and judge on cost per install only after you have looked at what happens after install. An ad that drives cheap installs from the wrong audience will often have poor day-one retention. Report on cost per activated user, or whichever early in-app event best predicts retention for your app. Install attribution is complicated by platform privacy changes, so use your mobile measurement partner's or ad platform's reporting and be clear about what each number does and does not capture.
Frequently asked questions
Can Infinall generate app install ads from my app store listing?
Infinall starts from a product URL, so the best input is a landing page or site that clearly describes your app, audience, and differentiators. From that it produces research, strategy, copy, image ads, carousels, and video drafts that land in an Approval Queue for you to edit and approve. Results depend on how clearly your page communicates the app, and you should replace generated visuals with your real screens where accuracy matters.
Does Infinall run my install campaigns or manage ad spend?
No. Infinall does not buy media or manage live ad spend. You create the campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, Google, Apple Search Ads, or TikTok and manage budgets and bids there. Pro includes an optional pay-as-you-go Distribution feature for connecting accounts and publishing, with 2 connected accounts free and then 300 credits per account per month, but it is not required and does not replace performance optimization.
What does it cost to try an AI ad generator for an app?
The Free plan is $0 and includes 1,000 credits per month and a Full Campaign in Lite mode, with up to 3 image ads and 1 carousel, but no video generation. Pro is $30/month or $299/year with 3,000 credits, Standard mode with real-data research, video generation up to 4K, and the full voice and dubbing toolset. Credits cost $0.01 each of AI compute, and exporting or downloading never uses credits.
Will AI-generated ads get approved by the ad platforms?
Not automatically. Each platform reviews ads against its own policies, and categories such as finance, health, dating, and apps aimed at younger users face stricter rules. Infinall does not guarantee compliance and does not replace legal or policy review. Review claims, imagery, and disclosures yourself, read the current platform policy for your category, and expect some ads to need edits after platform review.
