What Is a Model Council? Several AI Answers Combined Into One
A model council is a chat mode where several AI models answer the same question on their own, then review and rank each other's answers without seeing who wrote them. One of them, the chairman, combines the strongest points into a single final answer. In Infinall AI, Model Council uses exactly 3 reviewers on Free and 2 to 6 reviewers on Pro.

What a model council means
Most AI chat tools give you one answer from one AI model. That answer can be good, but you have no easy way to know what a different model would have said, or whether it missed something. A model council fixes that by asking a small group of AI models the same question at the same time.
Think of it like a review panel. Each member writes its own answer first, so nobody copies anybody. Then every member reads the other answers, with the names hidden, and ranks them. Finally one member, called the chairman, writes the answer you read, taking the best parts of each.
The term is used by more than one AI app, and each app sets it up in its own way. The idea stays the same: several independent answers, an anonymous peer review, then one combined result. The rest of this page explains the general idea first and then how it works in Infinall AI.
The functions of a model council: three steps
A model council has three jobs, and they always run in this order:
- Answering: each reviewer writes its own answer to your question. If one reviewer fails, the others carry on.
- Peer review: the reviewers read each other's answers without names and rank them. Hiding the names stops a reviewer from favouring its own work or a well known model.
- Final answer: the chairman combines the best parts into one answer.
The value comes from step 2. When several reviewers point out the same mistake, or all rank the same answer highest, you get a signal you would not get from a single reply. The final answer is usually more complete because it pulls points from answers that each saw the question a little differently.
When a model council helps, and when it does not
Use a council for questions where a wrong answer costs you something:
- Choosing between two campaign ideas, pricing options or audiences.
- Checking a claim in ad copy before it goes live.
- Planning a launch where you want several angles on the same brief.
- Reviewing a long piece of copy for gaps, weak arguments or unclear offers.
Skip it for quick, simple tasks. Rewording a caption, fixing grammar or writing ten headline variants does not need a panel, and a single reply is faster. A council is also not a research tool: it does not search the web in rounds and cite pages. For that, a research mode that reads sources and writes a cited report is the better choice.
A council also does not make AI always right. If every reviewer lacks the same fact, they can agree on the same wrong answer. Treat the council answer as a stronger draft, and still check names, prices, dates and anything legal yourself.
Worked example: picking a launch offer
Say you run a small skincare brand and you are choosing a launch offer. You type: Compare a 20 percent first order discount with a free travel size gift for a new serum launch on Instagram. Which is better for a first time buyer, and what are the risks of each?
In a council of 3, the first reviewer might focus on margin, the second on how each offer reads in an ad, and the third on repeat purchases. In the peer review step they rank each other, and the answer that covered the most ground gets the top tag. The chairman then writes one answer that keeps the margin warning, the ad wording advice and the repeat purchase point, in one place.
You can then open the step by step view to read each reviewer's own answer and the notes they left on each other. If two reviewers raised the same risk, take that risk seriously. If one reviewer said something the others did not, check it before you act on it.
How Model Council works in Infinall AI
In Infinall Chat, open the picker on the right of the message box and choose Model Council. A council button appears next to the picker, for example "Council: 3 models". Click it to see who answers: tick reviewers in Council models, or pick a preset (Balanced, Fast, Deep or Free). In the Chairman column, click the reviewer you want to write the final answer. Your choice is remembered.
Type your message and press Send message. You see the three steps, Answering, Peer review and Final answer, then the Council answer. Click Show how the council answered to read each reviewer and the peer ranking, and Read reviews to see their notes on each other.
A few rules to know:
- On Free the council uses exactly 3 reviewers, and the presets that fit are Fast and Free.
- On Pro you choose from 2 to 6 reviewers, and a new council starts with 4. All four presets show.
- The same reviewer cannot be added twice.
- Extended thinking is not used for council answers.
- Turning on Research moves you off Model Council, because Research has its own fixed process.
What a model council costs in Infinall AI
Model Council uses credits, because several reviewers work on your question. A bigger council uses more credits than a smaller one, and the app does not show a price before you send. Credits are taken after the reply, and a reply that fails costs nothing. If your balance is zero, switch to Auto or add credits.
Auto replies are free, with a fair use limit of 6 messages a minute, 60 an hour and 300 a day. Auto may send a hard question to the council for you, and that message stays free.
The free plan gives 1,000 credits every month with no card, and one credit is one US cent. Pro costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year, with 3,000 credits a month. In India, Pro is Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year.
Frequently asked questions
What is a model council in simple words?
It is a group of AI models that answer the same question separately, rank each other's answers without seeing names, and then hand the job to one chairman who writes a single combined answer.
What are the functions of a model council?
There are three: answering, where each reviewer writes its own reply; peer review, where the reviewers rank each other anonymously; and the final answer, where the chairman combines the best parts.
Is Model Council free in Infinall AI?
Everyone can use it, but a council reply uses credits. Free accounts get 1,000 credits every month with no card and a council of exactly 3 reviewers. If Auto sends a hard question to the council for you, that message stays free.
How many reviewers can a model council have?
In Infinall AI, Free uses exactly 3 reviewers. Pro lets you choose from 2 to 6, and a new council starts with 4. The same reviewer cannot be added twice.
Can I see what each reviewer said?
Yes. Under a council reply, click Show how the council answered to read each reviewer's answer and the peer ranking, then Read reviews to see their notes on each other.
Can I use Model Council with Research?
No. Research has its own fixed process, so turning it on moves the picker to a single engine.
