What are the character limits?
Headlines allow 30 characters, descriptions 90 and each of the two display paths 15, according to Google Ads Help on 26 October 2026.
How many headlines and descriptions do I need?
Use 3–15 headlines and 2–4 descriptions. Leave unused slots blank; this counter does not check minimum counts.
Why check double-width text separately?
A headline with 15 Japanese characters can use all 30 Google Ads units, even though this counter shows 15.
Do spaces, ₹, $ and emoji count?
Spaces, punctuation, digits, ₹ and $ each count as 1 here. Joined emoji count as one visible character. Google does not specify emoji counting in the cited help page; check the final text in Google Ads.
Can I paste a list into one box?
Use one headline or description per box. The counter does not split lists or flag duplicates; check for repeated wording.
Does fitting the limit mean my ad is approved?
No. Check Google editorial policies, dynamic keyword insertion, emoji and final text in Google Ads.
