Questions
Do the guides predict where buttons and captions appear?
No. Their positions vary by placement; check your artwork in the publishing preview.
Why start with a 1080 × 1920 canvas?
It is a 9:16 starting point, not a minimum size. Meta recommends 9:16 for Story images and Reel covers, not every placement.
What is the difference between the two guides?
On a 1080 × 1920 canvas, standard spacing uses top 10%, bottom 20%, sides 10%: x 108–972, y 192–1536 (864 × 1344 px). Extra spacing uses top 15%, bottom 25%, sides 10%: x 108–972, y 288–1440 (864 × 1152 px). You can edit either guide.
Why does my landscape image look cropped?
Fill and crop trims the image to fill the canvas. Adjust the crop or choose Fit inside to keep the whole image with padding. Guides apply to the output canvas.
Does this tool check ad policies?
No. It only helps you review the layout; check your ad in Instagram or Ads Manager before running it.
Can I use these margins for TikTok or publish the guide image?
Review TikTok separately. Download with guides for feedback; publish the clean artwork without the overlay.
