Questions
Which size should I choose?
LinkedIn recommends 1200 × 628 for horizontal and 1200 × 1200 for square ads. Vertical images are mobile only; add horizontal or square for desktop. This tool covers single image ads, not carousel cards, which have separate specifications.
What file types and sizes does LinkedIn accept?
JPG, PNG or GIF, up to 5 MB. This tool exports JPG or PNG and lowers JPG quality to try to fit. It treats 5 MB as 5,000,000 bytes, the stricter reading. Correct dimensions alone do not ensure LinkedIn will accept or run the ad.
How much of the Pune photo stays visible?
For a 4032 × 3024 photo: 1200 × 628 keeps 69.78%, square 75%, 4:5 60%, 2:3 exactly 50%, and 628 × 1200 keeps 39.25%. At position 20, the horizontal crop spans 182.78 to 2,292.86 pixels down the photo to keep the banner.
How does Fit inside handle the Denver graphic?
The 1080 × 1350 graphic fits a 1200 × 628 ad at 502 × 628, with 349 px bands on each side and no cropping or enlargement. At 720 × 900, it keeps the same 4:5 shape with no cropping.
Why does a crop show a warning?
The tool warns when a crop removes more than 50% or enlarges the image. Move the crop, use Fit inside or choose a larger source image. The crop threshold and JPG quality settings are Infinall guidelines, not LinkedIn requirements.
