Questions

What lengths does LinkedIn recommend for single image ads?

LinkedIn’s single image ad specifications, last checked on 26 October 2026, recommend 150 characters for introductory text, 70 for headlines and 70 for descriptions. They also list 255 for the internal ad name.

Does longer copy mean my ad will be rejected?

Not necessarily. These are recommended lengths, not approval rules. Check your final draft in Campaign Manager.

Do I need a description for every LinkedIn ad?

No. LinkedIn only requires it for LinkedIn Audience Network. Leave it blank if you are not using that placement.

How do emoji, rupee prices and accents count?

The counter counts visible characters. A joined family emoji or an Indian flag counts as one; ₹ counts as one. Combining accents stay with their letter. Spaces and line breaks count too.

Does the counter predict where LinkedIn hides text behind “see more”?

No. Where text is cut off depends on the device. This tool does not preview the ad.
