Questions
What size should an X website card image be?
X lists 1:1 and 1.91:1 website card shapes, at least 800 px wide and no more than 3 MB. Our 1200 × 1200 and 1200 × 628 sizes are editable starting points, not sizes X requires.
Is 1200 × 628 exactly 1.91:1?
It is about 1.91:1, since images need whole pixels. The square size is exactly 1:1.
Does this check the X card file-size limit?
No. Check that each download is no more than 3,000,000 bytes. If it is larger, lower JPG quality or use Ad Image Compressor. PNG quality does not shrink a PNG.
Can I use WebP or the larger post-image limit for website cards?
No. X allows WebP and 5 MB for regular post images, but website cards take BMP, JPEG or PNG up to 3 MB. Export cards as JPG or PNG.
How do I keep a price or logo from being cut off?
Move the crop and check both shapes. If it still gets cut off, choose Fit inside to keep the whole image with background bars.
