Contrast limits, the 20% logo plate and small-dot warnings are Infinall guidelines, not official QR rules. Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser; nothing you enter is uploaded.

How to use it

Enter a link or message, choose colours and add an optional logo.

  1. Enter a link or message.
  2. Pick colours and an error correction level, then add an optional logo.
  3. Scan the preview with your phone, then download PNG or SVG.

How it works

Bytes = UTF-8 length of the data

Version = smallest of 1-40 that holds those bytes at the chosen level; grid = 17 + 4 × version modules

Contrast = (L_light + 0.05) ÷ (L_dark + 0.05)

Questions

How much text can a QR code hold?

Up to 2,953 bytes at Low error correction, 2,331 at Medium, 1,663 at Quartile and 1,273 at High, DENSO WAVE's version 40 figures. Plain letters and digits take 1 byte, ₹ and Hindi letters 3, most emoji 4, which is why the counter shows bytes.

Which error correction level should I choose?

Medium (15%) is the default. Choose Low for long text on screens, or Quartile or High for print that may get damaged. Higher levels make the code denser.

Can I add a logo?

Yes. The logo plate covers about 2.9% to 4.0% of the code. Adding a logo selects High (30%) error correction. Test with two phones before printing; recovery is not guaranteed.

Can I use brand colours?

Yes, but dark on light scans best. Contrast below 1.5 to 1 is blocked; below 3 to 1 shows a warning. Test light-on-dark codes, as some apps misread them.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

Use PNG for screens and SVG for print at any size. Keep the 4-module margin; do not crop it.

Does the QR code expire or track scans?

The code does not expire, but its link must stay active. You cannot edit the saved code or see scan counts. To track visits in GA4, tag the link with the UTM builder before creating the code.
