Infinall vs Descript: Edit Recordings or Make Brand Content?

Descript is an AI video and audio editor that lets you edit by editing text. Record in Descript or drag in a recording, and you get an instant transcript. Delete a sentence in the text and it is gone from the video. You can cut filler words and retakes in a click, and the timeline is still there if you need finer control.

It is built around spoken content. Remote recording lets you record podcasts and video with guests anywhere, multitrack audio editing handles several speakers, and one-click tools remove background noise, enhance voices, correct eye contact, fix lighting and smooth jump cuts. When the edit is done, Descript can add captions, generate a thumbnail and a YouTube description, translate the video and reformat it for YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms. Its own home page sums up the fit: record, transcribe, edit, make clips and publish, all in the same place.

If most of your marketing starts with someone talking on camera or into a microphone, Descript is the more direct tool.

Descript lists five plans on its pricing page:

• Free: $0, with text-based editing and a chance to try its AI tools.
• Hobbyist: $16 or $24 per person a month, with 10 media hours, 400 AI credits and watermark-free 1080p export.
• Creator: $24 or $35 per person a month, with 30 media hours, 800 AI credits, watermark-free 4k export and unlimited royalty-free stock media.
• Business: $50 or $65 per person a month, with 40 media hours, 1500 AI credits, team-wide Brand Studio and video translation and dubbing.
• Enterprise: custom pricing, with media hours and AI credits sized to your team.

The pricing page offers monthly and annual billing and shows two prices for each paid plan, but the pricing page does not show clearly which price goes with which billing cycle, so check the Descript pricing page before you pick one. Prices are per person, so a team of three pays three times the seat price.

Infinall AI has one paid plan. Pro costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year, with 3,000 credits a month. In India it is Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year. One credit is one US cent, and the app shows the price before paid work runs. Descript AI credits and Infinall credits are not the same unit, so compare the work you need each month rather than the credit numbers.

Descript's listing on SaaSworthy shows a rating of 1.76 from 93 ratings when we checked. The individual reviews we read there were positive or mixed, mostly asking for more free access, and we did not find a specific repeated complaint to report. Infinall AI starts from a brief, not a recording. You paste your website address once, Brand Brain saves your logo, colours, voice, products and audience, and every image, motion video, voiceover and piece of copy you make can use it. Infinall also has its own browser video editor, the AI Editor, with a timeline, captions made on your computer, audio tools such as noise removal and ducking, and export that never uses credits. It is a general editor rather than a transcript editor, and it needs a laptop or desktop with a screen at least 1024 pixels wide.

After making the work, the Social Hub calendar lets you plan and schedule posts, and you can boost a published post as a paid ad. The ad platform charges your budget to your own ad account; Infinall AI does not buy media for you. Ad Spy adds research: search a brand or keyword to see the ads it runs on Meta, Google and LinkedIn. The Free plan gives 1,000 credits every month with no card, and Video mode is Pro only.

Ask where your content starts:

1. If it starts with a recording (a podcast, webinar, interview or talking-head video), start with Descript. Its transcript editing and audio clean-up are the core of the product.
2. If it starts with a product page or a brief and you need visuals, short motion videos, voiceovers and copy, start with Infinall AI.
3. If you also need to plan posts, boost them and watch competitor ads, Infinall AI covers that in the Social Hub and Ad Spy.

Both have free plans, so the quickest test is to run one real task in each before paying.

Yes. A common split is to record and edit the podcast or video in Descript, then use Infinall AI for the launch image, motion teaser, voiceover ad and post copy around it, and schedule everything from the Infinall calendar. There is no direct link between the two products, so you move finished files between them. Downloading and exporting in Infinall AI does not use credits, and a single media file can be up to 500 MB when you bring it into the AI Editor.
