What Is a Lead Form Ad? Forms, Lead Quality and Follow-Up
A lead form ad collects responses through a form people fill in without leaving Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. The form gathers an enquiry; it should not be treated as proof of a sale. Decide what makes someone a good fit and what follow-up you will offer before choosing the questions.

What is a lead form, and where does the ad fit?
The lead form is the part people fill in. The ad is the message that invites them to respond. In the Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn workflow described here, people complete the form inside the platform rather than leaving it for your website.
Keep the invitation specific. Ask for an enquiry about a service, a consultation or a product demonstration, rather than making a vague promise to share more information. Make the form match that invitation, and use the thank-you message to explain what happens next. A submitted form is a starting point for a conversation, not a reason to assume that the person is ready to buy.
Choose the approach before choosing the questions
Start with the decision your team needs to make after an enquiry arrives. Write down the offer, who it is for, who will respond and what information that person needs. Then choose questions that help with that decision. Avoid asking for details merely because they might be interesting later.
A short in-platform enquiry is a reasonable choice when you want to start a conversation about a clearly described offer. Prefer a website enquiry journey when you want visitors to read detailed service information, compare packages or review examples before contacting you. That is a reason to choose a different approach, not a weakness to hide. Do not assume that keeping the form inside an app guarantees better enquiries or lower costs.
What makes a lead qualified?
For your campaign, define a qualified lead as an enquiry that meets your agreed fit criteria. Choose those criteria before reviewing responses: for example, whether you serve the requested location, whether the requested service matches your offer, and whether the proposed timing is workable. These are suggested screening criteria, not a universal qualification standard.
Separate a useful enquiry from a confirmed customer in your team's records. A person can match your offer without having agreed to buy. Infinall AI lets you set a customer rule to mark which leads are a good fit, but the label should not replace checking what the person actually requested. There is one active customer rule for the whole workspace, so agree on its meaning with anyone handling other campaigns there.
Worked example: a consultation enquiry
Suppose you run a home renovation service and want consultation requests. This is an illustrative plan, not a reported campaign result. Write an invitation that states the service and the area you cover. Plan questions about the requested work, the location and the intended timing, alongside the contact information needed for your reply.
Before launching, decide how you would handle each answer. A request outside your service area should not automatically be treated as a sales opportunity. A request within the area still needs a conversation to establish the scope. Write a thank-you message that tells people what response to expect, without promising an appointment you have not arranged.
Review the resulting enquiries against the criteria you wrote down. If the answers do not help you decide what to do next, revise the questions or the offer. Do not judge the example by an invented conversion rate or a promised number of customers.
How lead forms work in Infinall AI
Infinall AI supports lead forms on Meta and LinkedIn. Making a form requires a connected ad account, and connecting accounts is Pro only. Free and Pro accounts can open the Leads tab and set a customer rule. Workspace viewers can read leads but cannot create a form.
Connect the relevant ad account before making the form. Prepare the questions and thank-you text within the limits below. For the ad itself, the New ad composer covers the ad, the audience and the money. Use the Get leads goal only with the supported platforms. Google and TikTok cannot use that goal in Infinall AI.
Both plans can open the ad composer and save drafts without a connected account. When you are ready to run an ad, check the account, audience and spend before confirming. Read and export the responses through the lead workflow, and use your agreed customer rule when reviewing fit. The lead inbox lists up to 200 recent leads.
Separate form costs from running an ad
Making a form, reading leads and exporting them use no Infinall AI credits. This does not mean that a live campaign is free. A live ad uses 2 credits a month, and the ad platform charges the advertising budget to your own ad account. Infinall AI does not buy media for you.
Saving an ad as a draft or paused uses no credits. The spend box in the ad composer shows the live-ad credit cost before confirmation. Keep that software cost separate from your advertising spend when planning the campaign. Review whether enquiries match your offer as well as how much you spend, rather than treating every form submission as equally valuable.
Frequently asked questions
Is a lead form the same as a lead form ad?
No. The form collects the response, while the ad presents the offer and invites that response. Plan them together so the questions and thank-you message match what the ad promises.
Can I use the Get leads goal for Google Ads in Infinall AI?
No. Infinall AI supports lead forms on Meta and LinkedIn only; its Google and TikTok ads cannot use Get leads. This is a limit of the Infinall AI workflow, not a statement that Google Ads has no lead form options.
Does a submitted form make someone a qualified lead?
Do not assume so. Agree on fit criteria, review the person's answers and confirm what they need. Infinall AI provides a workspace-wide customer rule for marking fit, but a fit label should not be treated as confirmation of a purchase.
Can I create a lead form on the Free plan?
Creating a form requires a connected ad account, and connecting accounts is Pro only. Free accounts can open Leads and set a customer rule. Form creation itself, reading leads and exporting them use no credits, while running a live ad has a separate cost.
