YouTube Ads Cost in India: How Pricing and Billing Work
YouTube ads cost in India has no fixed price list: you set your own average daily budget in Google Ads and bid in an auction, and you pay per view, per click or per thousand impressions depending on the ad format. Google will not spend more than 30.4 times your average daily budget in a month for most campaigns, and Indian advertisers billed by Google Asia Pacific pay 18% GST unless they give a valid GSTIN.

Why there is no single price for YouTube ads in India
YouTube ads are bought through Google Ads. There is no rate card for a small business: you choose how much you are comfortable spending each day, pick an ad format and a bidding method, and the auction decides what each view or impression costs. Two brands running the same format in the same city can pay very different amounts, because the price depends on the audience you target, how many other advertisers want that audience, and how well your ad holds attention.
That is why any fixed per-view or per-impression figure you read online is someone else's result, not yours. The honest way to answer the question is to set a budget you can afford to lose while you learn, run a small test, and read your real cost per view or per thousand impressions in your own account.
How each YouTube ad format is charged
Google's help page on video ad formats explains what you pay for in each format. The short version is in the table on this page. A few details matter for planning:
- Skippable in-stream ads with CPV bidding charge you only when a viewer watches 30 seconds, or the whole ad if it is shorter, or interacts with it, whichever comes first. If someone skips early, that view is not billed.
- Non-skippable in-stream ads are 60 seconds or shorter and use Target CPM, so you pay for impressions whether or not the viewer was paying attention.
- Bumper ads last between 5 and 6 seconds, cannot be skipped, and are also paid by impressions.
- In-feed video ads charge when someone clicks to watch, or, in a Video View campaign, when they watch it autoplay for at least 10 seconds.
- The Masthead at the top of the YouTube home feed is only sold by reservation through a Google sales representative, on CPM or cost per hour, so it is out of reach for most small budgets.
What YouTube Shorts ads cost in India
Shorts ads follow the same auction. Google says you are charged for an impression, a TrueView view or an engagement, depending on your bidding. With CPV bidding a view counts when the viewer watches 10 seconds or to the end, whichever comes first, or taps the call to action, Like, Comments or Share. You pay for only one view per impression, even if the ad loops. With Target CPM you pay each time the ad starts to play in the Shorts feed.
Viewers can skip a Shorts ad at once by swiping, so the first seconds decide whether you pay for a view at all. Shorts videos can be up to 3 minutes long, but only the first 60 seconds play in the Shorts feed, so put the product and the offer early. The Shorts ad specs guide linked on this page lists the other limits.
How the budget limits work
You set an average daily budget for each campaign. Google may spend less on some days and more on others, but for most campaigns it will not go over two times your average daily budget on any one day, or 30.4 times it in a month. To turn a monthly figure into a daily budget, divide it by 30.4.
A simple way to plan: decide the most you are willing to spend this month on a test, divide by 30.4, and set that as the daily budget. Then use the free CPM calculator or CPC calculator to see how many impressions or clicks your spend could buy at the rates you see in your own account, and the ad budget calculator to work back from a sales target to the spend you would need.
GST on YouTube ads in India
Tax is added on top of your ad spend. Google's tax page for India says that if you receive services from Google Asia Pacific, you are charged GST of 18% on all purchases, and you can avoid this by giving a valid GSTIN. If you receive services from Google India Private Limited, your tax ID decides which tax is applied, and a GSTIN is mandatory for business accounts but optional for individual accounts. GST for SEZ advertisers is 0%.
Which Google entity serves you, and whether you can claim input tax credit, depends on your registration and billing setup. Check the Billing section of your Google Ads account and confirm the treatment with your accountant before you set a budget.
"YouTube without ads" is a different question
Some people searching for YouTube ads cost in India want to know what it costs to watch YouTube with no ads, not what it costs to advertise. YouTube itself stays free of charge with ads. YouTube Premium is a paid membership that removes ads, including ads on the watch page and in the Shorts feed, though creators can still include their own promotions inside videos. Premium Lite reduces ads, but ads may still appear on music content, Shorts and when you search or browse. Prices for viewers differ by country, so check the YouTube Premium page in your account for the current rupee price.
Where Infinall AI fits
Infinall AI does not buy YouTube ads for you, and it does not change what Google charges. The ad budget is always charged by the ad platform to your own ad account. What Infinall AI does is make the creative: motion videos from a prompt on Free and Pro, and full videos from 1 to 180 seconds on Pro, in the shape you pick, using your saved brand. Voiceovers include three Hindi voices that support emotions. You download a finished Pro video as an MP4 for free and upload it to YouTube and Google Ads yourself.
If you also run Google ads from the Social Hub, a connected ad account is a Pro feature, a live ad uses 2 credits a month, and paused ads are free. Free gives 1,000 credits every month with no card. Pro is Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year at rupee checkout ($10, then $30 a month or $299 a year), with 3,000 credits a month.
If you already have a video editor or an agency making your ads, you do not need Infinall AI to run YouTube ads: Google Ads alone covers the buying.
