Questions
What is CPA?
CPA means cost per acquisition: your ad spend for each conversion, such as an order, sign-up, lead or install.
How is CPA calculated?
Divide ad spend by conversions: ₹1,80,000 ÷ 240 orders = ₹750.00 per order. In the US example, $8,750 ÷ 137 paying trial members = $63.87 per member, rounded for display.
What is a good CPA?
Compare CPA with gross profit per conversion, not a universal target. For purchases, break-even CPA = average order value × gross margin. At ₹2,000 and 45% margin, gross profit is ₹900; a ₹750.00 CPA leaves ₹150 before overheads.
Why is CPA undefined with zero conversions?
You cannot divide by zero. Check conversion tracking and your attribution window, or wait for more results.
How is CPA different from CPL and CAC?
CPL measures ad cost per lead. CAC includes all sales and marketing costs per new paying customer. CPA measures cost per conversion using the spend you enter.
Does changing currency convert the amount?
No, it changes only the symbol and number grouping. Use one currency for all costs.
