Why people look

Why people look for Publer alternatives

  • A Google Play reviewer says old posts stick around and must be dismissed before a new link can be shared, so links get sent several times. A reviewer wrote: "This results in having to resend links to Publer multiple times instead of just once." read the review
  • Another Google Play reviewer reports slow downloads that sometimes fail completely, even for small files. A reviewer wrote: "some time it take 30 to 40 min to download just 3 MB file. some time it just can't download." read the review
  • Publer is a scheduler: it posts, recycles and automates content you bring. If you need the pictures, videos and captions made as well, you need a second tool or a different kind of tool.

  1. 1. Buffer

Buffer publishes its prices openly and bills per channel, so two or three accounts cost very little, and the free plan covers 3 channels. Its main drawback in reviews is publishing reliability: reviewers report failed posts, broken video captions and Instagram connections that drop.

4.7 on the App Store (34754 ratings), checked October 2026

  2. 2. Metricool

Metricool pairs scheduling with analytics and has a $0 plan, and its paid plans are priced by number of brands rather than per user. A Google Play reviewer says free-tier analytics history was cut from 90 days to 30 days, and another reports lost connections and failed video uploads in the mobile app.

About 3 out of 5 on Google Play (1993 ratings), checked October 2026

  3. 3. Pallyy

Pallyy prices per client rather than per channel and includes AI captions and client approvals on Pro, which helps agencies. The free plan is image posts only, and App Store reviewers say the mobile app does much less than the browser version.

  4. 4. CoSchedule

CoSchedule has a free plan that schedules up to 15 posts at a time on 1 profile, and clear paid prices. Older SaaSworthy reviews say the cost puts it out of reach for some people and that social accounts sometimes need re-authenticating for no clear reason.

4.3 on SaaSworthy (270 ratings), checked October 2026

  5. 5. Later

Later is built around visual planning, with clear tiered prices. It has no free plan on its pricing page, and Google Play reviewers report media uploads that hang and problems linking Instagram accounts.

4.4 on SaaSworthy (1,041 ratings), checked October 2026

  6. 6. Zoho Social

Zoho Social fits teams already using Zoho and has a free plan. SaaSworthy reviewers say some connected apps decline to publish posts, some features are buried in the interface, and one found the pricing too high.

4.9 on SaaSworthy (8,307 ratings), checked October 2026

  7. 7. Infinall AI

Infinall AI makes images, motion videos, video (Pro), audio and copy from your saved brand, then plans and publishes them from the Social Hub calendar, and can boost a published post as a paid ad. The drawback is that auto-publishing needs a connected account, which is Pro: Pro includes 2 free connections, and each extra account uses 300 credits a month, so a pure scheduler for many accounts can cost less.

How we picked these Publer alternatives

We started from the social scheduling tools in our competitor research and kept the ones that do what most Publer users rely on: a content calendar, scheduling to several networks and a way to get started without paying much. For every tool we read its own pricing page in October 2026 and public reviews on the App Store, Google Play, SaaSworthy or G2. Prices on this page are copied from those pricing pages, and every drawback comes from a real review, linked in the sources at the end.

We left out enterprise suites priced from $99 per user per month and up, because people searching for a Publer alternative are usually solo users, small businesses or small agencies. We also added Infinall AI, our own product, because it covers scheduling plus content creation. We say plainly below where it is not the better pick.

Quick comparison by need

  • Cheapest scheduler for a few accounts: Buffer. Free for up to 3 channels, then $5 per month per channel on Essentials.
  • Analytics across several brands: Metricool. A $0 plan, then Starter at $25 per month for up to 5 brands.
  • Client approvals for a small agency: Pallyy. $25 per month for one social set on its Pro plan, with extra sets at $10 per month.
  • A wider marketing calendar: CoSchedule. A free plan for 1 profile, Starter from $29 per month billed annually.
  • Instagram-first visual planning: Later. Starter is $18.75 USD per month, billed yearly.
  • Already on Zoho: Zoho Social, with a free plan and custom-priced packages.
  • Making the content as well as posting it: Infinall AI. 1,000 free credits every month, no card.

If your main question is a free Publer alternative, the tools with a free plan here are Buffer, Metricool, Pallyy, CoSchedule, Zoho Social and Infinall AI. Each free plan has its own limit, such as channels, profiles or posts a month, so match it to how many accounts you run.

Pricing notes

Publer's plans page lists Free, Professional, Business and Enterprise. Free is free forever and Enterprise is billed yearly on a custom quote. The pricing page does not show the Professional and Business amounts in the text we could read, so check publer.com/plans for the current price before you compare.

The alternatives price in different ways, which changes the real cost:

  • Per channel: Buffer. Cheap for a few accounts, grows with every account you add.
  • Per brand or client: Metricool and Pallyy. Good for agencies with many accounts per client.
  • Flat plan tiers: CoSchedule and Later.
  • Flat plan plus credits: Infinall AI. Planning, scheduling and publishing use no credits. Making images, videos and copy uses credits, and you see the price before paid work runs. On Pro, 3,000 credits arrive each month, and one credit is one US cent.

In India, Infinall Pro is Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year.

When to stay with Publer

Publer is a strong tool and many users should keep it. Its ratings are high: 4.7 on the App Store from 27009 ratings and about 4.7 on Google Play from 108293 ratings when we checked. Stay with Publer if you rely on bulk post automation, on recycling your best posts to keep engagement going, on its free custom link in bio page for Instagram, or on the browser extension that shares content you find while browsing. Its own site says it suits small business owners, creators and real estate agents who post across many platforms.

Switching makes most sense when the reviewed problems, such as stuck old posts or slow downloads, keep costing you time, when you want a pricing model that fits your account count better, or when you need help making the posts and not only scheduling them.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free Publer alternative?

Buffer is the simplest free option, covering up to 3 channels. Metricool has a $0 plan with analytics, CoSchedule's free plan schedules up to 15 posts at a time on 1 profile, and Infinall AI gives 1,000 credits every month with no card if you also want content made.

Is RecurPost a good Publer alternative?

RecurPost is often compared with Publer for recycling evergreen posts. We have not verified its current prices or reviews, so it is not in this list. Check its own pricing page, and compare it with the tools above on price model and free plan limits.

Is Publer free?

Yes. Publer's plans page lists a Free plan, described as free forever and best for individuals getting started. Paid tiers are Professional, Business and Enterprise.

Can Infinall AI replace Publer?

For many small brands, yes: it makes the content and schedules it from one calendar. Auto-publishing needs a connected account, which is a Pro feature with 2 free connections.
