How to Make an AI Voiceover: Script, Voice and Export
To make an AI voiceover, write a short script, paste it into a text to speech tool, pick a voice and speed, then generate a few takes and keep the best one. In Infinall AI you choose the Audio tab, keep the mode on Voice over and send your script, with 54 voices across 29 languages on the free plan.

An AI voiceover is spoken audio made from text. You write the words, choose a voice, and an AI model reads the script out loud, so you do not need a microphone, a quiet room or a voice actor. Marketers use it for ad reads, product videos, explainers and social clips, and to say the same message in several languages. The result depends far more on the script and the settings than on the tool. This guide gives steps that work in any text to speech tool, then shows how to do it in Infinall AI, what it costs, and the mistakes that make AI voices sound flat.
| Setting | Options | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Mode | Voice over, Two speakers, Compare voices, Translate & speak, Clone voice (Pro) | One voice reading your text, a two person conversation, one script in several voices or several languages |
| Voice | 54 voices across 29 languages on Free; Pro adds 20 premium English voices and your clones | Language, accent, tone and gender; search the list by any of these |
| Speed | Slow (0.7 times), Normal, Fast (1.3 times) | Fit the script to the slot without editing the words |
| Ad length | Any, 6s, 15s, 30s, 60s | Targets about 15, 38, 75 or 150 words; long plain scripts are trimmed to fit |
| Takes | 1, 2 or 3 | Several reads of the same script so you can keep the best; each take is charged |
| Emotion | Neutral plus emotions on voices tagged EMOTIONS | Make the read happy, calm or urgent; typed tags such as [pause 1s] add pauses |
How to Make an AI Voiceover: Script, Voice and Export
Decide the length first
Work out where the voiceover will run and how long that slot is, for example a 15 second ad or a 60 second explainer. The length sets how many words you can use. As a guide, Infinall AI aims for about 38 words for a 15 second ad and about 150 words for 60 seconds.
Write the script for the ear
Use short sentences and one idea per sentence. Write numbers, prices and brand names the way they should be said, and read the script out loud yourself once to catch tongue twisters. End with one clear action, such as visiting your site or starting a free trial.
Pick a voice that fits the audience
Choose the language and accent your viewers expect, then the tone: warm, calm, energetic or serious. Most tools let you preview voices, so test two or three with your first sentence rather than a sample line. A voice that suits a game trailer rarely suits a finance explainer.
Set speed, pauses and emotion
Adjust the reading speed so the script fits the slot without sounding rushed. Add short pauses after the hook and before the call to action. If the tool supports emotions, use them sparingly, for example excited on the offer and calm on the details.
Generate several takes and listen
Each AI read is a little different in pace and tone, so make two or three takes of the same script. Listen with headphones for wrong stresses, mispronounced names and odd breaths. Fix the script and generate again rather than settling for a bad line.
Add music and put it on your video
Place a quiet music bed under the voice so it does not sound empty, keeping the music well below the speech. Import the audio into your video editor, line it up with the visuals, and add captions, since many people watch social video with the sound off.
Export and check the rights
Download the final file and play it on a phone speaker as well as headphones. Before you use it in a paid ad, check the tool's terms on commercial use, and never clone or imitate a real person's voice without their permission.
How to make an AI voiceover in Infinall AI
- On Home, choose the Audio tab above the box. On a project canvas, switch the composer to Audio.
- Keep the mode chip on Voice over and type your script, up to 5000 characters, which is roughly five minutes of speech.
- Pick your brand on the brand chip if you have saved one, so brand words are said the way your brand wants. The words you typed stay exactly as typed.
- Open Voice and pick a voice. Tick Only voices that can do emotions if you want to use the emotion chip.
- Open Settings to change Speed, Ad length or Takes. No script yet? Settings also has Write the script for me, which turns a short brief into a script you can edit.
- Send it with the round arrow. The take lands on your canvas as a player, where you can press Play, Download, Export or Mix with music.
To make an AI voiceover video, ask for a voiceover in your Motion prompt, or bring the downloaded audio into the AI Editor, where you can also record your own voice, lower music under speech and add captions.
Common mistakes
- Writing too many words for the slot. The voice speeds up or the end gets cut. Write to the word count for your length instead.
- Pasting a blog paragraph. Written text has long sentences that sound stiff when spoken. Rewrite it for the ear.
- Keeping the first take. Reads vary, so compare at least two before you choose.
- Overusing emotion. A whole script in an excited tone tires the listener. Change tone only where the message changes.
- Music too loud. If people strain to hear the words, the music is too high. Mix it well under the voice.
- Forgetting captions. A voiceover helps only viewers who have their sound on.
Free vs Pro for voiceovers
Free gives 1,000 credits every month with no card, and everyone can make voiceovers, compare voices, translate and speak, and use the script writer. A voiceover is charged on the characters spoken, every take is charged, and the finished take card shows what it cost. If a voiceover fails, no credits are charged. One credit is one US cent.
Pro costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year, and gives 3,000 credits a month. It adds 20 premium English voices, the most natural speech model, voice cloning, and music tracks, jingles and sound effects to mix under a voiceover. If you only need a clear read in a standard voice, Free is enough. Generated audio can be used commercially by the account that made it.
When another approach is better
A human voice actor is still the better choice for long brand films, character work or a voice that has to be unique to your company. Recording yourself is better when your audience knows your voice, for example a founder video or a creator channel. In those cases, the AI Editor lets you record your own voice for free and still use the AI tools for the rest of the edit.
