How to Fix Text in an AI Image: Steps That Work in Any Tool

To fix text in an AI image, edit only the area with the wrong words and give the exact text in quotes, for example "change the headline to Summer Sale, spelled exactly like this". If the AI still gets it wrong, erase the text and add real type on top in a design tool. In Infinall AI, each edit makes a new version, so the old picture stays.

AI image tools are good at pictures and often bad at words. Headlines come out with a missing letter, small print turns into shapes that look like text but are not, and a brand name gets one letter swapped. For an ad or a social post that is a problem, because readers notice spelling mistakes at once. There are three ways to fix it: ask the AI to redo only the text, erase the text and type it yourself in a design editor, or make the picture again with shorter, clearer words. The steps below work in any tool. After them you will see how to fix text in an AI image in Infinall AI.

How to Fix Text in an AI Image: Steps That Work in Any Tool

  1. Read every word at full size

Zoom in and read the text letter by letter, including small print, labels and anything on signs or packaging in the background. AI images often have one clean headline and garbled words elsewhere. Write down each word that is wrong so you fix them all in one pass.

  2. Decide which text the image really needs

Every word you ask for is a word the AI can misspell. Keep the text in the picture to a short headline or a brand name, and put prices, offers and long lines in the post caption or the ad text field instead. If a background sign or label adds nothing, remove it rather than fix it.

  3. Select only the area with the wrong text

Use a brush, a lasso or an auto-select tool to mark just the text, so the AI leaves the rest of the picture alone. Editing the whole image to fix one word can change faces, products and colours you were happy with. Mark a little more than the letters so the AI has room to redraw them cleanly.

  4. Give the exact words in quotes

Write the instruction with the exact spelling inside quotes, for example change the text to "Summer Sale", spelled exactly like this. Say what should stay the same too, such as the colour, size and position of the text. Short words and plain fonts come out right more often than long phrases and script lettering.

  5. Check the result and try again in small steps

Read the new text letter by letter again. If one word is still wrong, fix that word alone instead of resending the whole line. Keep the earlier versions so you can go back if a later try makes it worse.

  6. Erase the text and set real type when the AI keeps failing

If a few tries do not get the spelling right, erase the text so only the background is left, then add the words yourself with a text tool in a design editor. Real type is always spelled right and stays sharp at any size. This is also the best route for logos, legal lines and prices, which must be exact.

  7. Save a clean copy and check it where it will run

Download the final picture and look at it on a phone, the way most people will see it. Make sure the text is not covered by app buttons or profile names, and that it is large enough to read on a small screen.

How to fix text in an AI image in Infinall AI

Infinall AI has two ways to fix wrong words in an image you made or imported into a Studio project. Both use credits, and the exact price shows in a chip next to Apply before you confirm. Nothing is charged if the edit fails.

To fix only the text area with Markup:

  1. Select the image on the canvas, choose Edit, then Markup.
  2. Brush over the wrong text, or choose Auto-select and click it. Auto-select is free.
  3. In the prompt box, type the exact words, for example: change the text to "Summer Sale", spelled exactly like this, same colour and size.
  4. Read the price chip and choose Apply.

To fix it by describing the change:

  1. Select the image and choose Edit.
  2. Type the change in the first step box. Use Add step for each extra word to fix, so each one runs as its own step.
  3. Read the price chip and choose Apply.

If the AI keeps getting a word wrong, choose Erase, brush over the text and choose Apply. Erase rebuilds the background and does not add new objects, people or text. Then download the clean picture and add your words in a design tool. Downloading never uses credits.

Limits to know in Infinall AI

  • One edit holds up to 8 steps, so you can fix several words in one go.
  • One edit request can cost at most 100 credits. If the price chip turns red, pick a lower quality.
  • A Markup edit can carry up to 6 attached pictures, for example a logo you want placed exactly.
  • Each picture you upload can be up to 10 MB.
  • Every edit makes a new version and keeps the old one. If a fix makes things worse, open the Image actions menu and choose Use this version to go back. That is free.
  • A refusal for safety reasons is not charged. Change the words and try again.

Common mistakes

  • Asking for long sentences inside the picture. Put long text in the caption and keep the image to a few words.
  • Editing the whole image to fix one word, which can change the product or the face you wanted to keep.
  • Leaving out the quotes. Without the exact spelling, the AI guesses.
  • Fixing the headline and missing garbled small print in the background.
  • Trusting AI lettering for a logo or a price. Erase it and add real type, or attach your logo file to the edit.
  • Saving over the version you liked. Keep earlier versions until the text is right.

Free vs Pro in Infinall AI

Markup, Erase, Auto-select and the Edit tool work the same way on both plans. Free gives 1,000 credits every month with no card, which you spend on edits like these. Pro costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year (in India Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year), gives 3,000 credits a month and opens the image engines marked Pro. One credit is one US cent.

Frequently asked questions

Why does AI get text wrong in images?

Image models draw letters as shapes, not as words they spell out, so long or small text often comes out with missing or swapped letters. Short words in plain fonts come out right more often.

How do I fix the spelling of text in an AI image?

Select only the area with the text and ask for the exact words in quotes, saying they must be spelled exactly like that. If it still fails, erase the text and type it yourself in a design editor.

How do I remove text from an AI image?

Use an erase or object removal tool and brush over the words. In Infinall AI, Erase rebuilds the background where the text was and does not add new text. It uses credits and shows the price before you apply.

How do I replace text in Illustrator?

Illustrator has its own type tools, and menu names can change between versions, so check Adobe's help pages for the current steps. A common route for AI images is to erase the wrong text first, then set real type over the clean background in a design editor.

Does fixing text in Infinall AI change my original image?

No. Every edit makes a new version and keeps the old one. You can go back with Use this version in the Image actions menu, which costs nothing.
