What Is an AI Avatar? Video Presenters, Uses and Limits

An AI avatar for video is a digital presenter that uses a saved face and voice to say the lines you give it. In Infinall AI, you create the avatar once and reuse it in videos, with permission required for the face and voice and a Pro plan required to make it.

What an AI avatar does in a video

For video work, think of the avatar as the presenter, not the whole production. The face determines who appears to speak, the voice determines how the lines sound, and the script determines what the presenter says. Infinall AI saves the face and voice together so you can pick that avatar again rather than rebuild it for each video. Its Video mode also supports lip sync at creation.

A useful first question is whether your message needs a person speaking at all. A product demonstration may be clearer when the viewer sees the product being used. A spoken introduction may suit a presenter. Choose the visual approach around the information the viewer needs, rather than adding a face simply because an avatar is available.

An avatar is not the same as a voiceover or a real testimonial

A voiceover gives you spoken audio. An avatar video adds a visible presenter saying the lines. Infinall AI's Audio mode reads a script in a selected voice and returns an audio take; its Video avatar combines a saved face with a voice for a presenter. These are different jobs, so decide whether you need sound alone or a face on screen before choosing a workflow.

Treat the script as your message, not evidence that a customer said it. Do not give a generated presenter a made-up customer history or have it claim to have used a product when that is not true. If the point of the video is a genuine customer's experience, ask that customer to record it instead. For a founder introduction where the viewer should see the founder's actual delivery, filming the founder may also be the better choice.

How to plan an avatar video in any workflow

Start with the message: write what the viewer should understand and what they should do next. Draft the spoken lines before choosing a background or polishing the presenter. Read those lines aloud and replace phrases that sound like written sales copy with words you would actually say.

Next, decide whose face and voice will appear, and get permission before supplying another person's material. Check the creation tool's requirements for photos, recordings, plan access and charges before beginning. Keep the script tied to claims you can support.

After generation, watch the whole video with sound. Check the spoken wording, pronunciation and how the mouth movement matches the speech. Also inspect the product visuals and any text on screen. If an important detail is wrong, correct it before sharing; a presenter that looks convincing does not make an inaccurate claim acceptable.

Worked example: a founder explains a product

Suppose you want a founder-led introduction for a reusable bottle. This is a hypothetical brief, not a customer result: 'Make a short presenter video introducing our bottle. Use the approved product photo, explain the lid shown in the photo, and ask viewers to visit the product page.' A possible spoken line is: 'Here is our bottle and its lid. Visit the product page to see the details.'

Before producing it, replace the generic wording with verified product information and confirm that the supplied photo matches the item being sold. Avoid adding promises about durability, health or environmental benefits unless you can support them. Use the founder's avatar only with permission for the face and voice.

Review the result against the brief: does the presenter say the approved line, does the product look right, and is the next action clear? If viewers need to see the lid open and close, consider filming that action rather than relying on the presenter to explain it.

How avatars work in Infinall AI

Avatar creation is part of Pro Video, not a Free feature. Save the face and voice together and confirm that they are yours or that you have permission. You can supply up to 6 photos; the selfie records for 6 seconds. An avatar name can contain up to 80 characters, and each photo added in the Avatars tab can be up to 25 MB.

The voice requirements differ by entry point. A recorded voice for an avatar needs at least 20 seconds, with 40 seconds or more recommended. The Voices tab asks for at least 10 seconds, with 30 seconds or more recommended. You can check a saved voice with Hear my voice. There is no stock voice list in the video composer.

Pick the saved avatar for your video, describe the video in the composer, and press Create video. Review the storyboard and edit its spoken lines before approving the script. Read the price card before pressing Approve & render; nothing renders until that approval. If you have a confirmed Brand Brain, choose it with the brand chip to use your saved brand details.

Costs, reuse and when to choose another approach

Infinall AI's Free plan gives 1,000 credits every month with no card, but it cannot create avatars or use Video mode. Pro gives 3,000 credits a month and costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year. Making an avatar uses credits for the AI work performed; saving a voice and using Hear my voice can also use credits. There is no fixed avatar creation price stated in the avatar documentation. Failed steps are not charged.

Video generation uses credits separately, with the render price shown before approval. Length, quality and the number of versions affect that price. Reusing a saved avatar does not mean the next video is free. Once a video is finished, downloading its MP4, sending it to the calendar and saving it to the Library use no credits.

Choose an avatar when a reusable presenter suits the message. Choose a voiceover when the visuals should focus on the product, or film a person when their actual performance or experience is the point. Start with a small, clear brief and review it before asking for more versions.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI avatar video?

It is a video in which an avatar acts as the presenter and speaks the supplied lines. In Infinall AI, the avatar uses a saved face and voice, and you can turn on lip sync at creation. Review the script and finished video before publishing.

Can I make an avatar of someone else?

Infinall AI requires confirmation that the face and voice are yours or that you have permission. Do not supply someone else's face or voice without permission, and do not present a generated script as their genuine testimonial.

Is an AI generated avatar video free in Infinall AI?

No. Avatar creation and Video mode require Pro and use credits for AI work. Free monthly credits do not remove the Pro requirement. The video render price appears before you approve it; downloading a finished video does not use credits.

Can I reuse the same avatar for another video?

Yes. Infinall AI saves the face and voice together so you can pick the avatar in another video. Review each new script and its render price separately rather than assuming that reuse includes free video generation.
