Marketing for Schools: Admission Ads, Posters and Social Posts

Marketing for schools works best when each ad answers what a parent needs to decide: which grades have places, when admissions or open days happen and how to enquire. Infinall AI helps a school make branded posters, motion videos and captions from its own website, then plan posts in the Social Hub calendar, with 1,000 free credits every month and no card.

The schools marketing problem

Most schools win families through trust built over time: word of mouth from current parents, the school website, open days, campus visits and a steady stream of posts about school life. Ads usually support a few fixed moments in the year, such as the admissions window, an open day, a new grade or a summer programme, so the work comes in bursts with firm deadlines.

What makes school ads hard is that the decision is made by parents about their children, so every claim is read closely. Dates, fees, grades, eligibility and contact details must be exact, and photos of real pupils need permission. A school ad also cannot promise outcomes it cannot show. Treat every AI draft as a starting point to check against your admissions page and your school's own photo and privacy rules before anything is published.

How to run schools ads with Infinall AI

  1. Save your school as a brand

Paste your school's public website into Brand Brain. Infinall AI reads the site, asks about missing details and lets you confirm the saved brand. Check the logo, crest colours, tone of voice and programme details before confirming. Adding and editing the brand are free on both plans. Select that confirmed brand in each composer so every poster and caption uses the same name, colours and voice.

  2. Make an admissions poster or motion video

Pick one specific message, such as an open day, admissions opening for a grade, or a holiday camp. In the Image composer, describe the poster layout and attach an approved campus photo as a reference if useful. In Motion, choose your brand, shape, length and quality, then describe the event. Images and Motion are available on Free and Pro and use credits. Check every date, grade and name in the result.

  3. Write captions that tell parents what to do next

Pick your saved brand in Infinall Chat and ask for caption drafts using the details you supply: the event, the date, who it is for and how to register or enquire. Ask for a short version and a longer one, then choose the one that sounds like your school. Remove any invented facilities, results or quotes from parents before you use it.

  4. Schedule posts, then consider a boost

Add the reviewed poster or video and caption to the Social Hub calendar, pick the platforms and choose a date ahead of your admissions deadline. Both plans can schedule with reminders; automatic publishing needs a connected account, and connecting accounts requires Pro. A published post can be boosted through a connected ad account once you choose a goal, a daily budget and a number of days and confirm the spend. The ad platform charges your ad account separately.

  5. See what other schools are running in Ad Spy

Search another school's website or a keyword such as admissions in Ad Spy on Meta, Google or LinkedIn. Searching is currently free on both plans. Open an ad tile to read its copy and inspect the creative. Note the format, the message and the call to action as ideas for your own brief, not as proof that the other school's campaign filled places.

School ad ideas that start from a real event

Good school ads are built around something a parent can act on. Some briefs to start from:

  • Open day or campus tour: show the real building or classrooms, the date and time, and how to register.
  • Admissions opening: name the grades with places, the deadline and the enquiry link.
  • A new programme, club or facility: describe what it is and which pupils it is for, using your own photos.
  • Holiday camps and short courses: dates, ages, fees and how to book.
  • School life posts: a sports day, a science fair or a concert, shared with the consent your school requires.

A useful school ads design brief names the event, the audience, the placement and the one action you want. Give Infinall AI those details rather than asking it to invent an offer. For a school ads poster, keep the date and the enquiry route large and easy to read, and leave room for the crest. A professional photographer is still the better choice for the main prospectus shots, because parents want to see the real school. AI is most useful for the layouts, variations and copy around those approved photos.

Which platforms and sizes to use

For Instagram feed posters, Instagram's guidance says it keeps photos at their original resolution when they are 320 to 1080 pixels wide, and at 1080 pixels wide it supports a height between 566 and 1440 pixels. If a post is published through the Instagram API, the image aspect ratio must be within a 4:5 to 1.91:1 range, and the caption can be up to 2,200 characters. For Instagram Stories, the API guidance recommends 9:16.

For Google search ads aimed at parents searching for schools in your area, responsive search ad headlines support up to 30 characters and descriptions up to 90 characters. Write around the school name, the area, the grades and the admissions date.

LinkedIn suits staff recruitment and messages to working parents. LinkedIn video ads accept 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1 ratios in MP4 files. Use the linked resizers to prepare feed and ad versions of the same poster. Infinall AI prepares the creative and can publish or boost through your connected accounts; it does not buy media for you.

Policy watch-outs for school ads

Meta's Ad Standards say ads must not contain content that asserts or implies personal attributes. In practice, write "Admissions are open for Grade 1" rather than lines that address the reader's situation directly, such as calling them a worried parent.

Google's misrepresentation policy says ads that use clickbait tactics or sensationalist text or imagery to drive traffic are not allowed. Its unreliable claims policy adds that if you guarantee certain results, you are required to have a clear and easily accessible refund policy, so avoid promising exam scores or admissions to particular universities. Google's editorial policy also disallows capitalization that is not used correctly, punctuation or symbols that are not used correctly, and entering a phone number in ad text.

On top of platform rules, follow your own school's rules on photos of pupils, and do not ask AI to invent testimonials, rankings or results. A generated draft is not an approval from an ad platform.

Budget, credits and ad spend

Free gives 1,000 credits every month with no card. Pro gives 3,000 credits a month and costs $10 for the first month, then $30 a month or $299 a year. In India, rupee checkout is Rs 999 for the first month, then Rs 2,899 a month or Rs 33,999 a year. One credit is worth one US cent.

Brand setup, calendar planning, scheduling, publishing and reminders do not use credits. Making images and motion videos does, and the cost depends on what you make and the quality you choose, so do not plan a fixed number of posters from the monthly balance.

Paid ads are separate. A live ad or boost uses 2 credits a month, while the ad platform charges the daily budget to your school's ad account. A live ad can run for 1 to 90 days. Lead forms on Meta and LinkedIn can collect admissions enquiries without parents leaving the app; making forms and reading leads uses no credits, but connecting an ad account requires Pro. A small school with a few events a year may manage on Free with reminders; Pro fits when you want automatic publishing, boosts and lead forms during the admissions season.

Frequently asked questions

Can a school start on the Free plan?

Yes. Free includes 1,000 credits every month, Brand Brain, images, Motion and the calendar. You can plan posts and get reminders without connecting an account. Automatic publishing, boosts and lead forms need a connected account, and connecting accounts requires Pro.

Should we use AI images of pupils in school ads?

No. Parents want to see your real school, so use approved photos of your own campus and pupils, with the consent your school requires. Use Infinall AI for poster layouts, backgrounds, text variations and captions around those photos, and check every output before you publish it.

Does Infinall AI run our ad campaigns for us?

No. It makes the posters, videos and copy, plans and publishes posts, and can boost a published post or run an ad through your own connected ad account. You choose the budget and confirm the spend, and the ad platform bills your ad account.

What is the best time to start school admission ads?

Start from your own admissions calendar. Schedule posts in the Social Hub ahead of the open day or deadline, leave time to review every date and fee, and keep posting school life between campaigns so parents already know you when the ads appear.
