Boost a post
Turn a post you already published into a paid ad from the calendar, with a goal, a daily budget, a number of days and a spend confirmation.
#What it is
Boost post pays to show a post you already published to more people. It uses the post as it is, so you do not make a new picture or write new text. You choose a goal, a daily budget and how many days to run.
#Who can use it
You need a connected ad account, and connecting accounts is Pro only. A Free account that has not connected one sees "No ad account connected." with a Connect one link. Connecting shows this message on Free: "Connecting accounts is a Pro feature. Upgrade to Pro to connect your social and ad accounts."
The post must already be published. Workspace viewers cannot boost, and the app says "Your workspace role does not permit this action (spend)."
#Cost
Mixed. Save paused is free. A live boost uses 2 credits a month, the same as any live ad, and the ad platform charges the budget to your ad account. Paused, ended and deleted boosts are free. The spend box shows the total before you start it. More on billing in Paid ads from the Social Hub.
#Where to find it
Open Distribution, then Calendar, then open a post that shows the status Posted. Boost post is at the bottom of the post panel, next to the other buttons. It does not show for drafts, scheduled posts, failed posts or new posts.
After it is created, the boost is a normal ad. You manage it in Distribution, then Ads.

#How to boost a post
- Open Distribution, then Calendar, and open a post with the status Posted.
- Choose Boost post.
- Pick your Ad account if you have more than one.
- Choose a Goal. Add a Button and Button link if you want one.
- Under Who sees it, tap countries and set the age range and gender. Skip this to let the platform choose.
- Set Budget per day and For how many days.
- Choose Save paused to create it switched off, or tick the spend box and choose Boost now.
- Choose View in Ads to find it.
#How to start a boost live
- Fill in the window as above.
- Tick the box that starts "I understand this boost will spend up to". It shows the total you agreed to, for example the daily budget times the days.
- Choose Boost now.
If you change the budget, the days or the ad account after ticking, the box clears and you tick it again for the new total.
#Options explained
Goal.

Button. No button, Learn more, Shop now, Sign up, Contact us, Book now or Download. Picking a button needs a Button link that starts with https://.
Who sees it. Countries: United States, India, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, UAE and Singapore. Age runs from 18 up to 65+. Gender is Everyone, Women or Men. A boost has no city or interest search and no audience size estimate.
Always paused unless you confirm. Save paused always creates the boost switched off. Boost now starts it live only when the spend box is ticked and the total matches. The result tells you which one happened: "Boost saved paused. Start it from Distribution > Ads when you're ready." or "Your boost is live. Pause it any time in Distribution > Ads."
Dates. A boost starts right away and ends after the days you set. There is no start date field and no open ended boost.
#Limits
- Budget per day: at least 1 in your ad account currency.
- Run time: 1 to 90 days.
- Boosting: up to 10 boosts per minute.
- One click makes one boost. Pressing a button twice does not make two.
#When something goes wrong

#Questions
#Why is there no Boost post button?
Boost post only shows on a post with the status Posted. Draft, scheduled and failed posts do not have it. It also does not show while you write a new post.
#Does a boost start paused?
Only if you choose Save paused. Boost now starts it live, and only after you tick the spend box and the total matches.
#Can I edit a boost afterwards?
Yes, in Distribution, then Ads. Open it to pause it or change its budget.
#What is the difference between a boost and an ad?
A boost promotes a post you already published and uses that post as the creative. An ad from New ad is built from scratch with its own headline, picture and link. See Paid ads from the Social Hub.
#Who pays for the boost?
The ad platform charges your ad account for the budget. infinall.ai only uses credits while the boost is live.
